He is the Global Coordinator for North/Central Americas and the Caribbean. David has been a licensed REALTOR® specializing in commercial real estate in Kentucky and Indiana since 2001. David focuses on consulting and marketing for commercial and international buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants and investors. He has been active with NAR Global since 2013 when he was first appointed as the NAR President’s Liaison to Jamaica. He was subsequently appointed as the Global Ambassador to Bahamas, Bermuda, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. He holds a Certified International Property Specialist, At Home With Diversity, e-Pro, and Real Estate Negotiation Expert designations with the National Association of Realtors (NAR). David has spoken at real estate conferences in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and the US. David has been an active member of his local real estate association since 2001. He has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS from Vanderbilt University. In addition to NAR Global, David has done volunteer work with the National Immigrant Justice Center, WaterStep, the United Way and the University of Texas.

He is a Managing Broker at Windermere Real Estate Professional Partners. He holds several certifications and designations including ABR, AHWD, ASP, CIPS, CRS, CSP, C2EX, e-PRO, GREEN MRP, PSA, RSPS, SFR, SRES, and SRS. He was born in Japan and immigrated to LA in 1977 at the age of 12. He finished his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Work at a college/university in Los Angeles. He has lived and worked as a Corporate Travel Agent and Import Export Company Manager in New York, Tokyo, and Seattle. He has been a REALTOR for 23 years in WA (Thurston, Pierce, King Counties), and involved in many aspects of RE, including Association Leadership, Local Jurisdiction, Global Instructor-Presenter. His primary business areas are Residential, New Construction, Foreclosure, and Global Investment. He is the NAR Global Coordinator Asia/Pacific from 2021 to 2024 and the Thurston County REALTORS, TCMP Task Force Co-Chair. He is also a NAR National & Global Instructor (COE, CIPS, AHWD, ABR, etc.), WA REALTORS, CRS & Windermere Professional Development Instructor, and founding Member Greater Seattle Chapter of AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America). He was the NAR Global Ambassador to Japan & Mongolia from 2016 to 2020 and the NAR Regional Vice President (Region 12 – WA, OR, ID, MT, AK) in 2019. He was the NAR Board of Director from 2013 to 2019 and in 2022. He was also the NAR Extended Leadership Team/Committee Liaison – Global Business in 2017 and the President of Washington REALTORS in 2013. He was the President of Thurston County REALTORS in 2006 and 2010. He is a Thurston County Regional Planning Commission-Housing Advisory Member, Homes First-Housing Advisory Member, former Thurston County Housing Consortium Advisory Committee Chair from 2010 to 2011, and former Board Member of Homes First!, Monarch Children’s Justice and Advocacy Center.
