Panelist, Jaya Savalani:
Jaya was born in India, raised in Hong Kong and USA and has made Barbados her home since 2006. She have 2 wonderful children. Over the years Jaya has been employed in various financial roles in the Banking, IT and Reinsurance Industries. Jaya is now working as a Consultant and Real Estate Agent. Founder of Savalani Inc, specializing in luxury home rental and sales in Barbados. She enjoy helping others, cooking, yoga, golf and traveling. She is on the school Parent-Teacher Association at the Codrington School in Barbados, a Member of the Alpha Kappa Psi organization, BEAVA Member and an Alumni of Rutgers University in New Jersey.

– 2002: Started in real estate as a Second Home Luxurious Properties Specialist at Cap Cana, for more than 13 years, selling homesites, villas, condos and projects: beach, golf, and marina.
– 2015: Specialized in Commercial and Corporative Real Estate in Santo Domingo, D.R.
– Member of the AEI (Asociación de Empresas Inmobiliarias). Member of the board of the AEI since 2022 +

– ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative).
– Expanded relationship with local brokers and most of the landlords.

 


Panelist, Gabrielle Gilpin-Hudson:
Gabrielle is passionate about all things Real Estate, and bullish on all things Jamaican. Her unique professional background has seen her working with developers, private landowners, institutional investors, fund managers, and government entities in transactions concerning hundreds of parcels of real estate across the island.
Since obtaining her Real Estate License in 2014 and being called to the Jamaican bar as an Attorney-at-Law in 2016, she has coordinated numerous multi-million and billion-dollar deals and developments. Gabrielle loves taking part in landmark projects and transactions as a closer and a builder, closing meaningful deals, and building meaningful relationships with her clients and other industry stakeholders. She is believed to currently be the youngest Real Estate Dealer in Jamaica.
Gabrielle strongly believes in nation-building and proudly serves as the First Vice President of the REALTORS® Association of Jamaica, “the voice for real estate”, and the Universal Service Fund, the entity responsible for funding and promoting access to the internet for all Jamaicans. She is a member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, as well as the Best Practices Awards Committee of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, acting as a judge for their Corporate Governance and Best Annual Report Awards.

 


Panelist, Ed Eakin:
With over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, Ed Eakin Jr. has developed a reputation as the loyal, fun, and dependable Broker and Owner of the Eakin Group. Ed has found his true passion in helping realtors grow their real estate businesses, since he began his real estate career in Playa del Carmen in 2007.
Having attended Texas A&M and Sam Houston State along with various real estate schools, Ed holds 12 designations and certifications, which he leverages in providing exceptional quality services to all his clients. Ed has developed an extensive network in the real estate industry through his active membership and leadership positions in several real estate associations, including the MetroTex Association of Realtors in Dallas, Houston Association of Realtors, Austin Board of Realtors, National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Texas Realtors at the state level and NAR on the national level.
For the past 14 years Ed has been helping clients purchase second homes in Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Panama and Honduras. He has spent much of his time traveling to build relationships with the some of the very best developers around the world including Auberge, St. Regis, Four Seasons, SIMCA, Pristine Bay, Quivira and Dazante Bay.
Before venturing into real estate, Ed worked for 25 years in homebuilding in Dallas, to which he attributes his insightful knowledge of the property market, his keen eye for quality workmanship, and his meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, he previously held various management positions in the sales industry, which make him an invaluable asset in closing top-dollar sales for his client’s properties. Ed holds certifications/ designations in luxury home marketing and real estate negotiation, allowing him to negotiate nothing but the best deals for his buying and selling clients.
Having lived in Dallas since 1987, Ed’s knowledge of the local property market is unparalleled.  He is trained with specialties in residential properties, resort, and second properties, luxury homes, and senior real estate, among others. His goal is to exceed client expectations by ensuring a smooth process from first contact to the closing table.
Outside of real estate, Ed Eakin is a proud father of three who loves to play golf during his free time. He is also an ardent volunteer, fostering German Shorthairs with the Texas German Shorthair rescue group.
