Analysis written regarding the looming Commercial Credit Rollover Crisis
For some time I have been speaking with politicians, small business owners and lenders about a potential solution to the ,quote , “Commercial Loan Tsunami” that is looming out in the next 12-18 months . Because of the fact that most Commercial loans over the past 10-15 years have been loans that were amortized , typically, over 20 -25 years with what is known as a balloon payment sometime between 5-7 years, a lot of these loans that were made right at the end of the development boom, 3-4 years ago are now coming up for extensions and renegotiation. The problem is that a ton of these loans are not even being considered for extensions or renegotiations because of a few critical issues, or problems, if you may.

Capitol Conference and IAR Business Meetings Recap
Last week, almost 600 REALTORS® converged on the Capitol in Springfield to emphasize that we fully intend to keep our place at the table. First we were briefed by Greg St. Aubin and Julie Sullivan (IAR Government Affairs Director and Assistant Director, respectively) on the principal bills concerning us. Then with the able assistance of our local government affairs directors we found our respective legislators and senators and reviewed those bills with them and asked for their support of our positions.
