In order to become a REALTOR® member, you must be a licensed real estate agent, broker or appraiser in the State of Illinois. Agents must also be affiliated with a REALTOR® member firm. You may apply and pay online through our online application or if you wish to mail your application in please download the appropriate application from the list below. Your application package contains the instructions, forms and fee schedule applicable to the membership category you have selected.

Primary Membership
An individual is a primary member if the Association pays State and National dues based on such Member. Association Dues are prorated monthly for the current year.

IAR: $99.00
IAR Advocacy Initiative: $50.00 (no pro-ration)
NAR: $120.00
NAR Public Awareness Campaign: $35.00 (no pro-ration)

Secondary Membership
An individual is a secondary member if State and National dues are remitted through another Association. One of the principals in a real estate firm must be a Designated REALTOR Member of the Association in order for licenses affiliated with the firm to select the Association as their "primary" Association.

Appraiser Membership
An Appraisal Member shall be an individual or companies solely involved in the appraisal of real estate and real estate interests.

Optionally, you can add MLS Access for an additional fee. Just make sure to select it on the next page.

Affiliate Membership
Affiliate Members shall be real estate owners and other individual firms, who, while not engaged in the real estate profession, have interests requiring information concerning real estate, and are in sympathy with the objectives of the Association. Association Dues are prorated monthly for the current year.
